Job Description:

Primary purpose: Leads the Finance Department and manages
department staff. Oversees financial operations and compliance in a
federal-government contracting environment. Manages
responsibilities such as accounts payable, accounts
receivable/billing, monthly financial close process, financial
planning, reporting and analysis, indirect cost rate proposals, and
audit coordination.
A successful candidate will do the following:Lead, mentor, and
evaluate finance staffManage monthly financial close and ensure
accurate financial reportingDevelop and maintain monthly reports
and dashboards on financial performanceLead budgeting and
forecasting for corporate and project teamsReview and validate
costs in accordance with GAAP, FAR, and CASPrepare variance
analyses and financial-risk reports for projectsOversee and support
Incurred Cost Proposals and submission of indirect ratesRespond to
internal and external audit requests and coordinate
auditsCollaborate with project managers to ensure contractual and
financial compliance (ex: FAR clauses, funding limitations, and
insuarnce requirements.Prepare reports on project cost for
clientsDevelop pricing models and budget narratives for business
proposals, primarily in response to federal-government
solicitationsMaintain and administer Unanet financial ERP
systemComply with federal-government reporting and tax
requirementsProvide financial training and support across
divisionsDrive continuous improvement of finance processes and
policy implementation
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldAt least
ten (10) years of progressive experience in finance or accounting,
including at least five (5) years working within a
federal-government contracting environmentAt least five (5) years
of experience in a managerial role, with demonstrated success
leading and developing finance teamsProficiency in GAAP, FAR, CAS,
and indirect-rate structuresStrong understanding of various
contract types (for example, CPFF, FFP, and T&M)Experience with
government business proposals and pricing regulationsProficiency
with ERP systemsProficiency with Microsoft 365 applications,
including advanced Microsoft Excel skills (such as pivot tables,
lookups, and macros)Exceptional organizational, analytical, and
communication skillsAbility to manage multiple deadlines in a
remote, fast-paced environment
Preferred qualifications:Experience supporting federally funded
initiatives in public health or healthcareExperience with Deltek
Costpoint or Unanet ERP system
